I removed the Leer Topper from my truck today. It has been on since the truck
was new. Amazingly, there is no rust, or paint damage from it (other than the
holes drilled though the rails for mounting). I removed it because one of the
gaskets was deteriorating. I am amazed at the difference in the feel of the
truck. I guess its the lower weight and greater visibility.
Anyway, I like it so much, I'd sell it if I could. It is Black Gelcoat, with
a Dark Silver Metallic (Paint code QS7) insert, and a red double pinstripe.
It is in pretty good condition, no leaks, but the silver paint is beginning to
discolor a little (sun damage I think). Obviously, I'd like to get it to
someone here in south Texas, but would entertain other offers if the price is
right.. I have no idea what it is worth, it was ~$900 new.
I'm not sure what other trucks it would fit (short bed ranger or S10 maybe)?
I'll be putting it back on soon (no place to store it - wife's car outside for
now!!!).
