Low-end Torque - was:Gas milage -Reply

Right when I got it, it tore of the lot, tires squealing, got a little fish-tailage
into traffic and ripped down the road. That's the only time I've ever been
able to do it. I noticed an increase right off the bat, then the increase
sorta' died down after a while. I think maybe the computer got used to
the new air flow. I still think there is an increase in low-end, but not a
whole lot. It;s more of a high-end increase.

Someone on the list asked me if I noticed a loss of low-end torque as a
result of installing a new single-in, dual 2.5" out Magnaflow muffler (I did
not, or it wasn't pronounced enough to notice). Since you removed even
more restriction by changing out the cat, did you notice this difference in
low-end performance?

I've got a 88' dak with a flowmaster and I saw a slight gain in Mileage,
about 1 mpg, then I added a high flow cat and that helped for another
MPG. I;m looking at headers and those shoud help significantly.

i think i should have just gotten the v8, oh well...
will a flowmaster increase my milage anyone?? also i noticed a bend in
the y pipe coming off the engine of my exhaust, is this effecting
anything greatly, if so should i replace the part??
