Could this be true? It appears to me that if I drop 4" the wheel well opening
will be .5" off the stock tires, will it make it inside on a bump?

If the tires will rub how can I fix that problem?

Ken (nice truck!), with your tire setup does this make your tires higher,
lower
(measure from top of tire to pavement) , or the same as stock?

I have 245/45/zr17 front and 275/40/zr17 rear. My stock tires were
215/75/lt15's and the new tires are almost an inch shorter than stock. With
the 3" drop in the front it makes for the perfect stance. I do have a bit of
tire rub on the frame when I lock out the steering wheel. If I could find
spacers that would fit that strange bolt pattern we have, I'd be able to solve
that problem.

Old tires were about 27" in diameter, new tires are about 25 3/4". It doesn't
mess up the speedometer, either. In all honesty, with that kind of drop I
don't think these tires would work without bottoming out in the wheelwell. If
you do go for the 4" drop, try 245/40/zr17 instead of the 45's to ensure
space.
