Sounded like a great time (voice dripping with envy!)... One of the
reasons I bought a Dak was last winter when I got my jeep stuck in a
nasty winter storm up in Vermont... My jeep, and two of my friends
vehicles (olds bravada and chevy full size p/u) all got stuck on the
same trail... While we were trying to figure out which tree to hook
up the come along to a bright red '97 Kota came easing up the trail
without a problem. It was dark, snowing like hell and all of our rigs
were WAY off the road so we decided to pile in the Kota and deal with
the mess in the morning. Once we piled in he just drove off like we
were on a paved road!! No chains, no mods, no nothing but 4WD!
Moral of the story: (You guessed it) If you can't beat 'em, join
'em... so I did!
