My understanding was that they rated it as 2000 from a safety standpoint
(as far as what it's capable of braking safely, etc) more than what the
body of the truck can handle. However, since it's on the bumper, I
dunno if it'll bend that or not, but I'd be surprised unless you had
some hard jolts, especially for only half a mile. If it were me I'd try
it and just drive real carefull.
