Maybe it was to the Ramtruck mailing list, or the Dodge ng, but anyways, the
pn is
CCA-20-604-8 .. Summit has the best price so far I've found at $239.95
it is mfg'd by Competition Cams and was designed for the 360. I think they
have a special grind for the 318 in the Dakotas.... this cam might be a bit
wild for a 318.
I actually ran this cam with the stock springs for a week, and no problems,
but you'll probably want to upgrade ... I haven't found a drop in spring for
the magnum cyl head beside mopars, and they have two springs .. one's a "race"
spring, it's $9 (I think..), the other is the Magnum R/T (or whatever) spring,
that lists for $7.50... both use the same retainer... I went with the lighter
Magnum spring for my application....
Magnum Performance out of TX has a decent price, better than a dealers on the
Magnum springs @ MPI's pn# of MPI 4004 which is $99.95 ...... and the
retainers are also MPI's own pn of 4004 (?) and are $79.95...
The stock rockers are 1.6 to my belief (or so I've been told), which would
make the lift .512 on each side, not .480... .480 would be the gross valve
lift with a 1.5 ratio rocker arm. Oops.
