The handle worked fine. The cable attached to it was burned through. It
was nearly instantaneous. I saw the smoke. The engine died. I pulled the
hood release and the hood wouldn't open. Then the hood started turning
black (white truck) and the flames started appearing around the hood
edges. 8^O Unfortunately, carrying a fire extinguisher didn't help since
I couldn't get under there. I needed the type like they use at the drags,
nascar, etc.
