The only reason a dealership would need a vehicle in all day for a 5 minute
job, is that they are a really poorly managed service department. Or they
are trying to break people from bringing vehicles in for what they consider
very trivial issues.
I have a dealer that uses the same tactic for a few minor things on my Dak,
and didn't even get to one item after having it all day, yet when the
transmission went out in my wife's Voyager, they had it out the door in 3
days with a new transmission.
