Well, thats a load of crap......"inherent problem with that engine..." ??!!?!
The only time my 92 5.2 EVER knocks is when I have the MP SBEC installed,
and I REALLY gun it hard, and even then , the knock goes away reltively
quickly...

Change dealers first.

Second, try the thermostat switch....use a HD 180 degree...itll help.

Third, I once heard that an intake manifold leak was common on the 92 & 93
models....not sure if this would apply to your 94, but this will defiantely
cause a knock.

Check your vacuum hoeses, etc....
