exhaust

I have the stock exhaust system on my '94 CC, 4wd, 5.2l auto DAK. I noticed
that where the exhaust pipe passes under the trannie it touchs the bottom of
it. Is this a common problem? I am thinking of splitting the exhaust to dual
but won't have the $ for a while. Also, can the stock exhaust manifolds be
used with dualies or should I go for headers?
