It sounds like the idle air control motor to me too. I have had three vehicles
with Idle Air Control (IAC) valves and all three had problems, 85 Honda, 86
Chebby and 91 Subaru. The Honda was replaced under warrenty, I purchased a new
valve for the Chebby and I cleaned the Subaru valve. My BMW bike has a manual
IAC. Never had a problem with it :-)
One of the symptoms of a bad IAC is a low, high or oscillating idle with no
other problems. These valves get dirty because they are in the intake
stream. You may be able to clean the valve on your Dak if the problem is
intermittent.
