Watch out for fading! Paint won't fade anywhere near as fast as fiberglass
gelcoat. And I don't know how to prevent UV gelcoat fading, short of painting
over.
For proof of this phenomenon, just take a look at any darker fiberglass boat
after it's been in the sun for a couple of years.
