I've been keeping this sort of thing in the back of my mind, in case
anything ever happens to my engine, etc... My major concern though is,
how does this sort of thing work as far as getting it registered/inspected
goes? Since a 360 wasn't offered in a Dak in any year except '98, I suspect
there might be a problem? (Similar to Bill's problem of wanting to buy that
4x4 Dak with a 360 but not being able to find anyone who will inspect it...)

I notice that when you buy a crate engine, MP makes you sign a waiver or
something stating that you will be using the engine for off-road purposes
only.

It would really suck to put all that time and money into an engine swap
and then find out you can't drive the thing! I'm in New York State, I
suppose that probably makes a difference. Any engine-swappers out there?
Did you run into any trouble in this respect? (How do the kit-car builders
get around this?)
