In a message dated 98-05-29 08:16:34 EDT, you write:

<< 1) What brand of high performance wires is everyone using on
their '97? (David R. which ones did you buy?) >>

Why do you plan on replacing all these ignition components on a 97?? Seems
money could be better spent elsewhere ...

I think Magnecor offers a good set of wires .. They are alittle pricey, but
they seem to be the best, if you go by the numbers they publish ..

<< 4) How about a new distributor cap? David, didn't you replace yours
with some high-powered brass model? >>

A stock replacement should be fine .. don't listen to marketing hype where
they boast that because they have a cap that's all brass, the electrons will
just zoom right through it .. which is funny, considering a spark never zooms
through anything, just over the "skin" .. so the marketing hype about brass
being better than a plated metal seems quesitonable unless a certain plated
metal is listed as the comparison ...

once again, on a 97? .. seems alittle too early to me.
