Security "chirp" and auto door locks

I know we've gone over this before but.... I've got my 97' SLT at the dealer
today for some odds&ends and I thought I would have them activate the auto
door locks and the door lock chirps. He's telling me this is not available on
this model??? It's one year old this month and has the auto door locks,
security package, etc... anybody else with a 97' have these on?
