To check the condition of the fan. With a hot engine (off), spin the fan by
hand and it should stop before rotating more than 1 revolution. If the fluid
leak you will know by the sticky goo covering the fan blades.

move the fan
                (without the motor on of course) with my hand, but there is
some resistance.
                However, I'm not quite sure how to check the fan clutch to
see if it has
