The "U.P." one of the nicest places on earth? Hell, that's the boon docks! I have spent some time in Escanaba and I like it ...nice beach there. I did not like "Ralph" MI and I would not recommend the "Ralph Burger" from the Hunter's Bar.
Also, the mosquitos in the U.P. are man eaters and the Ticks are really bad....lots of people have Lymes disease from the deer ticks up there.

I spent some time in Georgia the past couple years on business at Lockheed
Martin wind tunnels and that place is the nicest place on Earth! (Next to
Arizona and the U.P) Great place!
