A turbocharger has a completely different effect on a Diesel engine than
a gas engine. It has twice the performance increase. Secondly diesiels don't
grenade with one on as they are very low RPM engines. Since they are low RPM
they can use much heavier duty conecting rods and pistons (14:1 or HIGHER
Compression)
because the reciprocating weight of the motor is no big deal with a 4000 rpm
redline,

A gas V6 turbo with automatic trans (with higher than normal stall
converter) will only burn up a trans overheat
a turbo (frying bearings) when towing. Higher stall converters heat
transfluid and towing does'nt help things.

87 Dakota 4x4 V6 (360V8 soon) 2.90 gears yuk (putting in 3.90)
