Mike:

I am with you on this one. It was my impression that the
bottom of the windshield provided a high-pressure source
of cold air.

My best example: The 1969 Z-28 with cowl induction hood.
They wouldn't have added the hood if it was going suck
hot air into that high-revvin' little 302.
