For anyone concerned about the asthetic appeal of the jiffy-pop , it's
probably possible to have someone machine or otherwise fabricate some kind
of similar thing that instead of being wrapped around the outside of the
lid , could have an inner lip so that it could be installed between the
filter and the upper and lower lids . When you tighten down the lids , this
would also compress this area , thus making it air tight too .
