Blower motor switch problem.

I have a question from a friend. He was having a problem with his Dakota
overcharging. The garage he took it to, first rebuilt the alternator, then
replaced the engine controller to correct the problem. Now the heater fan
won't work on any setting other than high. Has anyone else had this
problem? Any ideas what he should replace next. I didn't know what to tell
him.
