Door Buzzer on '98 Dakota

All this talk about defeating the door buzzer....
I found that on mine('98 CC 5.2 4x4) if you turn the ignition to the
accessory position with the door open (it's now buzzing) then reach down and
push the sensor button (now it's not), it goes off.
