I had heard this about the 97 Durango's too. Seems that in order to fix the
problem the dealers were changing the switch panel behind all three dials to
a new one that had the snowflake next to the bi-level setting. Seems that CC
had problems with the second source for the switch plates ... some production
lots on the early 97's were missing the snowflake ... the later ones had it
however. Get your dealer to replace it.
