DOH!
$3595.00 over MSRP? Are people actually paying these kind of prices? I
would rather ride my bike (pedal type) to work, then let a dealer make
$7000.00 on a Dak. I would wait until 99 and see if they make more, or
allow orders. When I got my SLT+, I paid $70.00 below invoice. The
dealer was still happy to make $700.00. I told them what I wanted, and
what I was willing to pay. He said no problem, and ordered the Kota the
next day. I think that they should charge a little more than invoice
for a limited production model, but $7000.00 above invoice is crazy.
$500.00 to $1000.00 above invoice is more like it. If they can't do
that, then let them rot on the lot.

Subject: DML: R/T for sale
This afternoon, I noticed a 1998 R/T for sale at Chapman Dodge, 3470
Boulder Hwy, Las Vegas NV (702) 457-1061.
It is a Flame Red Club Cab. It is equipped exactly the same as the other
three R/Ts I have seen. They are asking $3595 over the MSRP of $24,035,
for a total of $27,630.
