then on top of that you run the AC which gets the engine even hotter then
what you're experiencing is probably --vapor lock which wants to boil the
cheap properties in the gas. Try a higher octane fuel in the summer months.
Also have you noticed a larger than normal pinging rate in the summer than
the winter, this is telling you that your engine is starving for good octane
fuel. One reason I mentioned alchol mixture is while on a trip in Missouri
they had 95 octane regular fuel and 95 alcohol fuel which I tried and boy
did my engine ping. Went back to regular fuel,pinging stopped and truck had
better power.
