Everyone talks about the tire and handling package tires being junk -
I think they handled great, but this was my first "nice truck" and my
former cars were not handling powerhouses. No, they didn't wear
evenly, but that is because I can't seem to keep the front end
consistently aligned - not the tires fault. My only beef is that I
CAN NOT keep them balanced.
My two cents.

Ron,
I couldn't agree with you more. My '97 CC 4X2 has the Tire and
Handling Package. The 235R70/15 Goodyears were junk and
10 miles from the delivering dealer I knew the shocks were junk.
I immediately upgraded to TrailMaster N7 shocks all around and
Cooper 255R70/15's. I now have 37,000 miles on the truck and
all four tires have warn perfectly. Still got a couple of thousand
left, although I have ordered a new set of Coopers. My truck has
had one alignment and three tire rotations.
