No issue there, but I'd assume that the big "hole" between 2nd and 3rd
would also be detremental to towing (i.e. after coming out of second
you'd really lug the motor trying to build speed). Maybe what they were
shooting for is to keep 3rd and 4th close together for towing (i.e.
downshifts for hills, etc.). Beats me...

I think we all have to ralize the NV3500 is a "truck" transmission
designed
for heavy GVWs and not a close ratio box optimized for acceleration.
