If you buy a 98 Dakota v8 5sp you might want to check and see if it back
fires when compression braking. That does not mean drop it in 2 on the
freeway, just go from 5th to 4th and listen.
My Dakota has this problem and if I knew it ahead of time I would have
gotten the auto.
I just got back from the dealer and they did not fix the back fire
because they cant do it.
