I am investigating my 92 V8's too....

Mine is supposed to be 31 with the regulator vacuum on, 39 with it
disconnected....

When you shut it down, the pressure should hold steady and drop slowly (very
slowly)

My book says that if it drops suddenly, the outlet valve on the fuel pump is
shot....replace the pump.

MY pump just seems to quit after a hot restart....Still trying to figure
this one out...
