Wasted Bandwidth

Mike,
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a little light chatter, I've even
participated on occasion. But lately it seems like many of the messages
going through the list are off topic. I recently met up with another list
member who had agreed with me when we discussed the list. It's getting very
long winded. We have the Auto vs. 5-speed debate that seems to rear it's
ugly head every six months like clock work. Then when we do get a good
topic going, you'll have a few people who have something constructive to say
and a 100 posts with "ME TOO". We have new member's who get overwhelmed and
quit and older member's who leave because it's a pain in the ass to sort
through a hundred messages everyday. Especially when 75% of the posts are
nonsense. I'm not hammering on anybody specific, I just want people to
think a little before adding their two cents.
