The pros to the dropped a-arm is mainly one issue, the ride of the vehicle
is unchanged (except for increased bump steer). This
style of drop is good for people satisfied with the stock handling. I
think, if they drove a truck like theirs that was tuned a little better
they would change their mind.

We drove a stock R/T out at LACR when we were doing a photo shoot and it
handled very well, but the factory didn't lower it far enough. I
didn't get a chance to take apart the suspension to see if they change the
tie rod (since they are using 17" wheels, they may have),
but I doubt it. The auto companies are very good about using common parts.
I've got a line on a company that specialises in odd
suspension pieces, like tie rods, and I'm going to contact them to see if
they make something that would help with this bump steer issue,
(again only good for larger rim swaps)

I also don't like the offset of the R/T wheels. I don't want fender flares
cluttering up the side of my truck.
