yeah, have had quite the run around. Took it to 3 different dealers here in
the seattle/redmond area of washington state. They all say one thing in common
with eachother "They all do that". I think to myself, has this guy heard of a
recall where "They all do that " or a TSB?

One thery is that unburnt fuel is spit out the exhaust valve and burns in the
exhaust manafold.
That is not mechanically right, this should happen in the combustion chamber
not the exhaust manafold.

Been thinking about getting the same truck but only an auto but dont know if
the autos do this while compression braking. I tow about down grades and
prefer to use the engine to slow me down so when someone cuts me off the
brakes will be cool and have max stopping power.

Does anyones Dakota with auto/V8 combo have any kind of popping noise?
