RE:4X4 MPG

I have a '94 4x4 V-8 CC. I've got a drop in K&N, Borla (2.5in/2.5out)
muffler, Castrol GTX 10w40 w/ fram tuffguard(sic?), Champion Truck
Plugs, Jacob's wires, and run on 30x9.50r15's. I only run '92 octane
from Unocal, Mobile, or Texaco. Lately I've been getting around 16 mpg
on my daily driving... mostly 12 miles (avg. 70mph) each way to work on
the freeway, 7 miles (50mph) each way to school on the road (two stop
lights). Last weekend I went hunting and after the 160 mile drive
averaging between 70 and 80 I ended up getting 18.3 mpg.
Hope this helps droopie?

Travis

Thanks, Travis.

I'm not too worried about it since I get paid mileage anyway. I just
was wondering if there was something amiss. I didn't buy the 4x4
expecting to get the 35mpg that my Stratus got, but remember my 4x2 CC
'94 V6 getting 22mpg and a guy with a 4x4 CC 94 V8 pulling up to me one
day and saying that he got 20mpg. He was in his 50's at least so I
believed him.
Oh well, I was hoping for a good excuse to get the wife to let me get
the Jet computer.
