7" is going to be a bit narrow for a 255 tire. Prob. will go on ok, but
will have the "sidewall buldge" and the decrease in stability that comes
with it (i.e. sidewall will roll around on the rim during cornering).

I'm going to try 17" rims on my '97 (either 9.5" or 10") with 275/50
17"s on them. Should know how the fit will work first of the week...

I'm thinking of going with centerline 16x8's with 255/50/16 tires.
1) Should I go with 16x7 up front?
