Re: Roll Pan

Six months ago, I installed a Street Scene Fiberglass roll-pan and hidden
class three hitch. The roll pan is designed to work
great with the curves on the truck. It really looks like it came from the
factory. I bought it through Trader's (www.traderstruck.com)
Also, check out their ads in Truckin' and Sprot Truck magazines.
Unfortunately you have to have it painted if you can't do it yourself.
I also replaced all of the attachment hardware with stainless 8-32 bolts for
corrosion resistance. I also used about 17 of these little bolts
instead of the 7 pot metal screws included in the kit. Where ever the pan
met the body, I put 1/4" black rubber weather stripping to give
it a more finished look.

I don't think many of the aftermarket pans will work with the stock hitch.
The hidden hitch with the flip-up license plate looks great.
When I towed my Truimph across the country, I got a lot of compliments at
stop on how slick my towing setup was. You probably can sell
your stock hitch to someone who wants one but forgot to get it when they
purchased their truck. This forum is a good place to do that.

Sincerely,
Gary Pinkley
