After years with radials on sedans and sports cars, I too thought front to
back with no crisscross. then I read the Dak manual (97). They recommend
the crisscross front to back. When I asked a tire dealer why, he said
trucks wear tires differently than cars due to a suspension that is set up
to be loaded, and usually isn't. So to even out the wear, you need to
crisscross 'em.
