I remember a while back the talk about magnetic oil drain plugs and if
they really work, well I couldn't find the posts in the archives so I
would like to know if they are worth the $5.39 in Summit. Also, I remember
some talk about the thread length and how wasn't too long as compared to
the stock drain plug......anyone out there who has bought one, has there
been any problems with the shorter threads???? Is it the 1/2"-20 thread
by the way for my 93 Dak V6???? One more........thinking about this whole
magnetic idea....I was looking at the oil filter magnet strap in the JC
Whitney catalog, for $10 is it just overkill, or does that much crap
get filtered around in my engine(95,000 miles)???? Should I just try one
or the other and not both or get both???? Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated on this attractive :) dilemma!!!!!
