Uh, I have some sad news...

When I posted about the mpg, I had yelled down the hall to ask my wife
how many gallons we had put in when we got to Martinsville, and she said
16.5 ....Well, I just pulled out the gas receipt, and we actually put in
15.76 gallons, which is better, but I wrote down the mileage from the
trip meter and it was 2 96, not 3 96!! I'm now very embarrassed and
feel bad for blasting off... On the bright side, this does come out to
a very respectable 19 mpg, so I guess I cant complain, and I bet I could
get it to close to 24 if I had run a bit slower, and didnt have the a/c
cranked the whole way.
I took my sister's jeep grand cherokee to myrtle beach last april.
Her mpg computer registered an average mpg of 22 while I was driving for
6 hours (she has a 5.2) then I let my buddy drive the rest of the way,
and by the time we got there, he had sunk the average mpg to 17!
Sorry if I disappointed anyone, I'm shooting for at least 20 next
time.
Patrick
