hey, I grew up in Ventura county. I suppose Oxnard isnt too far (learned to
surf @ Leo Carillo state beach) for a meet but theres no track... Carlsbad
has a track (and I live 5 minutes away from it) its about a 2.25hour trip
from Oxnard to Carlsbad down the 405-5 freeways. Keep lookin for a local
track and lets see what shakes. If it is Carlsbad, I can put up a couple of
daksters at my place FOC...

over in Oxnard in Ventura County. I work at a local Hotel, and might be able
to get a group discount if we can get enough people. I dont know of a local
track that we could go to. In the past 2 months we have had the Mustang
Owners
Club, the Austin Healy Owners, and Ventura Vintage Rods (my personal
favorite). We need to have a Dakota Owners Club. The hotel I work at is
right
in the Channel Islands Harbor. Its an old hotel, so its not the best, but
the
view is really what you pay for. There is also a Park right next door, that
we
could hold a show. Now if there was only a strip near by, I will call up the
local "rice" store and see where they race.
