Kevin,
I've got Flows on my V6 and it sounds good. Cherry Bombs don't
compare =) You won't lose very much low end, if any. If you go with a
2.5" in and whatever out, you shouldn't lose enough to notice on the butt
dyno. I put Headers, Flows, and a high FLow cat and my truck runs
great. Still lookin' for the open element though =)

Hey DML. I am new here, and have the V6. Aside from the ticks it's a
great
little motor. With just an open element air cleaner it can get serious
rubber in 2nd gear and even chirp 3rd if theres a mustang around. It runs
low 16's in the quarter. Looking through the archives I've seen exhaust
for
V6's discussed before but I still have questions... Will putting a
Flowmaster muffler in place of the stock muffler take too much back
pressure away making it a slug off the line? After putting the muffler on
how long will the engine take to adjust itself to the new flow? Does it
sound good or is it just loud like putting a cherrybomb on a slant six?
will there be an actual performance increase or just a noise increase?
Oh
and any of you guys with V8s want to race? I might not win all the time
but
I love the looks on your faces when the little stock V6 keeps up, and with
the money I save not buying two extra spark plugs... ;)
