Yep. We should all be equal in the all seeing, all knowing and benevolent
eye of the DML Decal! Shaun hit it right on the head, you may be able
stomp my 4x4 on the strip but I'd just have to turn around and say, Now
let's try that again on that yonder mountain slope with all them trees and
mud and rocks and Rocks and ROCks and ROCKS... You get the idea...

Not a bad thought, though.

Just $.02, no change necessary :-)

If I purchase a Stage III sticker does my Dak suddenly gain horsepower,
reduced ET's, and a hood dimple? If so, I can sure save myself a ton of
money... ^_^

In a non-joking vein, I should think the supermodified Dak's would make
their own statements just flying by. Nobody would ever get a chance to get a
good look at the sticker anyway so it's mostly irrelevant <WWhhhoosh! What
was that? Don't look Ethel! -insert Ray Stevens Song here- >.
The real reason is that what one person considers modified, may not be so
to another. I mean, if a Dak has been jacked up 3' and has huge ol' monster
tires on it, does it get the "Scak Pak Ram" designating a racing Dak? Naw, my
vote is to keep it simple and let folks put whatever sticker they want on
their Dak.

"Cheater! You've got the Scat Pak Ram and you only have $1,000 worth of mods!
Fork over another $500 and we'll consider it! So there!" (All in jest here!)

Hey....DML'ers got an idea (gimme a break here) What about
designing the D M L stickers according to the level of mods
done to your Dak. Using the CURRENT DECALS as examples:

Stage I - Stock Dakota no or minimal mods (basic sticker)

Stage II - Modified Dakota (certain mods required before
one is issued- Scat PaK Ram)

Stage III - Supermodified Dakota (Bigtime Mods required
before issued- Radical Scat Pack Ram)

This looks like it would solve the civilized to radical
decal problem. ALSO give some prestige when spotted on
the road. A DML'er would recognize the level of high
performance by just checking out the sticker on the
highway.
Of course Jon would have to approve of (3) stickers that
best represented the DML. This would also make all three
offical and yet you could desplay one sticker which makes
a statement about your Dakota.

Whatta ya think folks....? (I know, millions of ideas )

Supreme Dakota Commander....??
