I got a 97 V-6 Sport Reg. Cag for $15,000 including tax and license in april
of this year. It is not used and only had 52 miles on it. Wanted a 98, but
dealer had no Emerald green RC v-6.It doesnt have any power any thing, 15
gallon tank, no fog lights or a/c(didnt come standard on 97). If you dont want
to haul any thing or race(even though I think the V-6 are pretty powerful)
then get a v-6. If you got the extra money get the V-8. Wish i did, with the
Club Cab.

my 2 cents,

<< I am sure this question has been asked a hundred times, but I will ask
it again. I have a deal working on a 1998 new Dakota Sport with V-6 ,
4x4, Short bed, regular cab. No power windows or locks, but Auto
Transmission, AC , AM/FM Cassette, Fog lights, larger capacity gas tank,
alloy wheels (I think are standard). Anyway the price is $ 16,500.

 My question is the V-6 enough or should I shop for a V-8 ? I don't plan
to tow anything or haul a heck of a lot. Any comments in regard to
price or anything else is appreciated. This will be my first Dodge
 product. >>
