   Its decent. Generally though, the higher, the better. 3.90s or
4.10s would be better. Your friend is right; a taller gear will
allow you to accellerate quicker at the expense of your top speed.
  If you're talking about drag racing though, you don't really need
a top speed higher than 120 or 130. (A dak that can do 120 or 130
in the 1/4 is REALLY modified.) Another trade-off is gas mileage.
You have to turn a higher RPM for a given speed, so you'll generally
burn more fuel. (Though I've heard that sometimes your gas mileage
can actually get better if your normal cruising RPM is in a part
of the powerband where the engine "lugs" a bit.)
