Before you go digging for a switch, you might want to pop the taillight covers
and make sure the bulbs are seated in there sockets properly. I had this
problem when I swapped out the stock bulbs for halogen ones... Sometimes they
would light sometimes not. I just fiddled with 'em and made sure they were
seated and haven't had a problem since.

Here's a dingbat Q for you:
My '97 Dak has 53.8k miles on it.
Most of the time when I drop it in Reverse the lights don't come on.
I always put it in 2nd before I go to reverse (friend told me about
longer tranny life, prolly urban legend).

If it goes into rev. hard the lights usually come on. I don't have
a FSM, so I don't really know where to look for the switch.

Has anyone else seen this (or at night, not seen this ;)

Call me clueless,

travis
