Damn... It sure seems like hoses are ruled out, eh? I'm not sure a
defective stat would show-up at the return hose base... As I recall that
was a pretty solid mount with a gasket so I'd be surprised if it ever
leaked there (whether it was working or not). If it wasn't working I'd
expect higher pressure, but I'd also expect higher temps on the gauge...

Damn *again* there just aint that much to the cooling system! I dunno,
could be something stupid like a worn out pressure cap or it could be more
involved like a busted water pump, heater core, small hole in the rad...
uhhhh... there's not much left!

You got a pressure tester???!!!

Yes, I have, in fact I beat the crap out of the throttle after a drive, nothing
visible.

It reads low ever since the second I drove it off the lot after the 180 install.
Always at the same place after it warms up. But wouldn't an improper
installation
show some antifreeze near the thermostat itself? That area is completely dry.
(Where the upper rad. hose enters the engine.)

I'll see your $.02 and raise you a dry 180 deg. thermostat.--
