Several weeks ago I posed the question if anyone had heard of a new oil
filter system that filters out particles down to 5 microns vs. the
standard 40.
I've found some info on this. It is called the Astromatic bypass
filtration system. I found someone who sells it and has posted some
F.A.Q's. I still have not found what magazine I had found its review.
But I do remember they were favorable. Again, most engine damage is due
to friction, and, if I could keep my Mobil 1 like new for 100,000
miles...

will spend the $90 on it for my future '99 Dak. I will let you know
