Mike,
I got my R/T butt whooped by a GTP turning 14.3 ETs. He had it modified to
pump out 20lbs of boost though. Not sure how long thatll last like that!
Its FWD, hence the transverse 6. If v6 is good, v8 is better???

Subject: DML: V6 superchargers?

My day wasn't so great, so I went out and test drove a new car just for fun
(there's no way in hell I could afford one :( ) A 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix
GTP,
3.8 Supercharged, 4 speed auto witha little button on the side that turns
what
I guess is a performance shifting chip. DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!:) That V6 felt
like
a 5.7 V8! I know it's GM but I was extremely impressed. I looked at the
numbers and the supercharger only added 40 hp and 40 or so lbs of torque.
I'm
seriously thinking of a supersharger on my 3.9 V6. If the one used by GM
only makes a 20% gain on their V6, surely an aftermarket could do better.
And
I'd be able to keep my mileage for the most part I would think. So does
anyone make a supercharger for the Magnum 3.9? I haven't found anybody who
does yet, but I was also wonder how does a supercharger mount the engine.
Before or after the intake valves? I mean, if you can put a V8 throttle
body
on the V6 with a little bit of messing around, could you put a supercharger
for a V8 on the 6 with the same messing around? Just wondering, but I'd
love
250 hp and 300 lbs/torque out of my 3.9. Thanks,

Mike S.
1993 V6 (if I had a supercharger, I might beat an RT >8-> !!!)
