Myke,
Were only offering these things for a short period of time based on our
alter ego's "lifespan".
If any one wants to carry the torch after we fade away, go for it! If not,
MPI has a comprehensive product line...
Actually, my suggestion to those that want to make upgrades in the
future
(like hemispherical heads w/.650 lift cams or the like) is to buy the big
one and use the stocker until the day comes for the mods. Id like to say
we're always going to be here for the DML and that we'll be making
these
things until the cows come home, but the truth is I have a real job already
that pays the bills and I need to keep it! So for now, we cant offer an
upgrade exchange program but who knows, something may transpire...

You know what would be cool (I just thought of this...thought I'd pass it
along). Do a trade-in tyoe thing with the stage 1 to upgrade to a stage 2.
Like give some kind of credit towards a stage 2 purchase if you want to
upgrade by sending back the stage 1. Just in case you make some major
upgrades to your dak and want to go with more flow... just a thought =)

DML
TB update cough cough...
Dyno pull scheduled on thursday for the big TB with the lucas injectors.
Getting ready to release the stage one design, probably middle of next
week!
Shipping logisitics are kinda brutal. To that end, brand new cores for
those of you in a hurry and so inclined range from 145.00 to 186.00
depending on year. All come with everything but the MAP sensor. Frank
has
a stock of used TBs for exchange purposes only that dont cost anything
provided your TB is in good shape and hasnt already been modified (be
honest
Pleeeese!!) If youve got mega miles on your TB and wouldnt want it back
on
your truck, please dont give it to us as a core... hopefully enough said
there! Well set it up so you can get the new TB on your truck and then
send
us a core, although logistically the lead time is going to be longer than
using a new TB... If you want us to modify Your TB, we can do that too
if
you can do without your truck for a few (to be determined at time of
ordering). The cost of the Stage one TB is 90.00. This includes:
disassembly, new stainless shaft, new .050 "thin" brass plates, stock
diameter, new screws, unshrouded bores, cleaned, reassembled, and
shipped
via UPS ground. This is just a preview since y'all seem to be getting
antsy (I am too for that matter). The real offering is coming, so ... Weve
still got a few testers out there and a few more to follow so those that
already have one of Franks Stage one TBs running please feed back to
the
list the real story!
Thanks,
Bruce (grease monkey and logistics man for Holloway Performance)

In a message dated 98-10-20 05:25:18 EDT, you write:

<< And then there is Frank!! A man on a mission to
take that TB mod to the next level, again, to help the common good of the
DML.
I havent seen any prices for the mod, but seeing some of his post, and
hearing
the extent of his knowledge and mechanical abilities in a shop, I doubt he
would price gouge like some people that no longer respond to the list.
Thanks for being a part of the list Frank. I enjoy your posts.

Speaking of Frank> When will the TB's be available??? I will have
everything
apart in a couple weeks, and it would be cool to put it back together with
a
modified TB!
