i have seen the vision... i have seen the vision... i have seen the vision.

i have seen the vision turn into reality... and ohhhhh, my...

is it ever something...

the vision...

that is....

me thinks ya'll would like it a lot...

right up your alleys...

seeking more power, etc....

to make those daks run better...

oh, my.... i have seen the vision... and is it ever so soooooohhhhhh...et!

i just finished it...

and now i am headed home...

not a bad day....

.... only 18hrs....

long....

my gawwwd... you mean i've been hot rodding magnum motors for 18 hrs...

what fun.... what fun... and yes, i have seen the vision.... and

it is ever so sweet...

yall surely would like it...

why don't you do it too...

it is easy... and you can do it on a sat morn...

by relocating... well... maybe locating....

ohhhhh.... i have seen the vision.....

pure juice... it is .... you would simply love it....

i just know you would so i'll tell you... but first

i gotta say....it again....

ohhhh-ohhH!.... i have seen the vision....

this morning i finished locating.... ohh it is sweet!

finished locating a real trick awsome to the max tbi to the manifold

the manifold is a porting work of art... soo smooth... so highly
modified...

well... we wanted to get away from the hassel of bolting the tbi down...

and it and the gasket sliding around everywhere... with ridges at the

transition point... low speed air flow killers....

so... let me tell you what i did...

it wasn't easy... but once sorted out it is pretty easy....

and it like works beyound belief... cause the tbi done slide...

so... what i did is this...

i got me some roll pins and made me a blind transfer punch and since the

highly modified manifold was.... uh-hhh...ohhh...... :)

port matched to the highly modified tbi... well... you guessed it huh?

we didn't want it to slide around the id of bolt hole to the od of the bolt
and create eddies...

so i took the blind transfer punch and located the matched ports togther...

and...

set it up so that the highly modified tbi had a receiver hole in it X2...

and the highly modified manifold has a roll pin locator...

and like the birds and the bees... the locator pin and the receiver hole
are ahhh... ahhhh.... like gettin' it on...

and so when you drop the tbi onto the manifold....

(i have seen the vision)

PRESTO!

the tbi aligns up perfectly to the bore exactly where it needs to be 100%
of the time...

'cause them pins and holes.... well... they are compatible...

and then you draw down the bolts and you open the port with the bellcrank

and look down there... and is it ever sweet.... its the vision....

so now one less variable to cause subtle variances in off idle throttle
response...

and one less thing to help keep the engine from running its smoothest..

like i am on cloud nine.... 3rd time its happeded in past 6 weeks or so...
ahhhh

well... 4... gettin' rid of that i"something" jules page was right up there
too...

progress....

i mean it is poetry in motion..... soooooo-et

and to make things a little nicer...

i port matched the manifold with the port matched tbi bores... to the....
quick... quick.... what ?

YES!!!! good job there... you knew it all along didn't you....

of course.... the gasket.

so now the gasket fits the roll pins and the tbi fits onto the gasket and
the roll pins and....

smooooooth fit! very nice.... the vision turned into reality...

so... yall should maybe consider this somehow...

at least check the bore alignments as best you can

loosen up the bolts some... jiggle it this way.... that way....align the
gasket.... align the tbis... draw the bolts

all the time with the bore WOT and a flashlite on a cool engine... maybe a
buddy...

and get it all aligned as best you can.... 'cause

you KNOW that dodge didn't align it other than to the random draw on the
bolts and they "zippped"

down the tbi bolts... when they did the engine.

its easy to do... no sense in not checking it... :)

and... look for gasket overhang... trim as required

you guys that have the manifold off can work for a better port alignment
with those drummels

trim the gasket... and don't set the manifold on your SO's... fresh washed
bed spred or coffee table...

ROLL PINS... real neat things...

when i was done i got out my dial indicator and set it up and tbi shift
was limited to .002" +/- .001"

i WAS happy...

every time now... that manifold and tbi will align perfectly to the bore...
+/-.... .002" thats on the money!

maybe yall... could work up a dak roll pin installation kit and send it
around to locate your new tbi...

there is no need to remove the manifold... and what little drilling is
req'd.... makes no mess nor threatens...

the manifold with little silver alum army ants...

i think there is one or two machinist types here... they can figure out the
pin size and drill sizes and yall

could pass it around...

and then every time you set the tbi on to the manifold....

PRESTO!

instantaneous perfect fit.

the magnum engine responds SUPER nicely to any type of air column quality
that you can afford it...

phew.... what a vision... now a reality...

you try to install it and it don't line up... you slid it this way...

then that... then here.... around and then

PRESTO!

like a hot knife in butter...

she sits right on down and when

you try to move it around.... it is there like glued...

very...nice....

i like it.

try it...

you will, too... i bet.

QUESTION:

based upon the tbi lesson we had the other day...

what year tbis will not fit on this manifold?

"ooopps!... gotta go... there's the phone!"
