You might use this as a point of reference.

My custom wheels are 15x7 AR-211 with a backspacing of
4.75". The rim's edge is about even with the outer lip
of the front fender.

Section width of my tires is 9.4" and tread width is
6.6". I have no clearance problems with a full turn
and there is about a 1" clearance between the upper
A-arm and the tire's inner sidewall.

A backspacing of 5" would reduce this clearance to
about .75" as the rim would be moved towards the
inner well.

Whether this is enough for a section width of
10.8" for your tire is a key question. It'll be close!
